Student Conduct Code

  • Anthem Academy of Music promotes and maintains a positive classroom environment for students and teachers alike. Students are expected to be respectful of teachers, classmates, and the building. Students who do not follow these policies may be asked to leave and/or may be removed from the class permanently

Tuition

  • All lessons are prepaid by the month. Students/families will receive an invoice at the beginning of the last week of each month. Tuition must be paid before the first day of the month. 

  • There will be a $10 late fee for any payment made 5 days after the first lesson of the month.

  • Accepted forms of payment include: cash, check, or ACH transfer

  • Any charges incurred to Anthem Academy of Music by a check or ACH transfer returned will be billed to the student.

Registration Fee

  • Every student will be charged a $20 registration fee per year that is billed every September or upon enrollment. This fee helps offset the administrative cost of setting up your student in our studio management system and helps keep your monthly tuition costs lower. The registration fee covers the costs of paperwork processing and computer time required to set up your student in the attendance and tuition-billing system. It also covers insurance, music license fees and studio communication costs—all separate expenses from class/lesson tuition.

Missed Lessons & Classes

  • Prior notification does not exempt students from payment. Students are charged for all the lessons for which they register, including those missed through student absence. As a courtesy, please call or email in advance of any absence (651-900-3001; anthemacademyofmusic@gmail.com). If notified within less than 24 hours of the scheduled lesson or class, no makeup will be offered.

  • Lessons that are missed with at least 24 hours notice will be eligible for a make-up lesson, however make-up lessons cannot be guaranteed. Students are allowed a maximum of two makeup lessons per semester.

  • In the rare case that a teacher must cancel a lesson, students will be offered a makeup lesson that will not count against the two makeup lesson limit.

Cancellation & Inclement Weather Policy

  • Anthem Academy of Music does not necessarily follow other school closings due to many reasons such as the hours of the day that AAM in session compared to the hours that other schools are in session. If the academy is closed, an announcement will be placed on the AAM website. 

  • If students are experiencing difficulty attending their lesson due to inclement weather, students/parents should contact us before the lesson begins in order to inform us and so that a makeup lesson can be arranged. If students/parents do not contact us before the lesson begins concerning inclement weather, they will forfeit their makeup lesson. 

  • In the event of an emergency closing (for weather or otherwise), students/parents will be contacted immediately and students will be eligible for a make-up lesson.

Online Lessons

  • In the unlikely event that technical issues preventing video calling for more than 20 percent of the scheduled lesson, the lesson will be made up by the instructor at a later date with no additional cost. Unfortunately, due to the nature of our lesson schedules, if the technical issue is generated from the student side, the lesson will not be able to be made up. 

Substitute TeacheR

  • In the case of potential teacher absence, Anthem Academy of Music reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher instead of cancelling the lesson.

Lesson/class Withdrawal

  • Students must provide written (or email) notice of withdrawal one month/four weeks in advance. Verbal notices or requests will not be accepted. Failure to give one month notice will requirement payment for one month/four weeks of lessons.

Program Cancellation

  • Anthem Academy of Music reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment. Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment 24 hours before the first meeting may be cancelled. In the event a class is cancelled, you will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another class. If you do not enroll in another class you will receive a full refund.

Cell Phones

  • Parents and students who use cellular phones are asked to turn them off during classes or lessons unless they are waiting for an emergency call. 

Student Referrals

  • Registered students can earn free lessons by referring friends and family to take lessons at Anthem Academy of Music. To be eligible for the offer, the new student must mention they were referred by you when they arrange their lessons. Once they have completed one month of lessons, you will be credited for one free lesson on your next month’s tuition.
